The first sanctioned wheelie contest of the season was held at Long Island Motorsports Sunday May 20th.

Like seemingly all events at LI Motorsports -- they were very unorganized and you spent more time waiting than watching the good stuff. This event was all about promotion of one of the local groups of wheelie guys and it was a lot of hoopla and shenanigans on their part designed primarily for PR. which is all fine and good - the crowd loved it - and that's what matters.

There were a ton of people there as you can witness below by the sea of bikes

I happily rode up on my new Gixxer with two other girls also on sport bikes.

The weather wasn't the best - a little bit chilly - but not too much wind and no rain. So I guess we can't complain.
