Girls!  Ya gotta start riding...

If you think riding is too hard.. or too scary.. QUIT IT.  You don't know what you're missing.  Unless, of course, you're not mechanically inclined and can't even drive your car without driving it into a tree.. then maybe we don't really wantcha on the road.  But in most cases... you just gotta do it!

But if you decide to ride - don't let your boyfriend/husband/lover/roommate etc teach you.  Go take a Beginner's course at the Motorcycle Safety Foundation.  They'll get you started and taking that course will help you decide what type of bike to buy... The MSF teaches you everything you need to know from starting and stopping to turning to what to watch for so that you don't get killed.  It could save your life and a few bucks as well.  In a number of states you get a 10% discount for having taken the MSF course and in NY you can bypass the driving test MVS gives you if you show a course completion card.

I know girls riding everything from big ass Harleys, to Goldwings, to every other bike imaginable from Aprilia to (someone help me think of a Z bike) Yamaha.  Z BIKE... I asked for help and got it, while I don't actually know someone who has a Zundapp, someone sent me not only the name of the bike but went through the time and effort of finding a picture WITH a fully clothed female on it.  Go Craig!

So all your excuses.... You're not too short.  You're not too weak.  You're too scared.  Forget it.  Quit all your whining and get off the back of HIS bike and to the seat of yours.

My Past bikes....
