Show Review

The show this year was a bit small... and not so damn impressive as years past.  Of course, the only thing I was actually interested in was the Gixxer1 - my soon to be new bike...

As I was walking around the floor I heard a couple snippets of conversation... in the Harley section I over hear someone say... "yeah, it's only another 75 lbs and you're getting 100 more CCs..." I hear this right after talking to the Suzuki rep about the 8 lb difference between the GSXR750 and GSXR1000.

Technology is a wonderful thing, eh?

So the show was mad crowded which really took away from the exhibits... of course, the biggest crowds were at the WB booth -- everyone hot for the tape, CD and t-shirts.  See my review below.

Video Review

So, yesterday I got three tapes... the WB Thought U Knew, the one from Bay Cycles and the guys from Long Island who call themselves "New York's Finest".

Now, right off the bat, I have a problem with the name...New York's Finest?  come on now...  but we'll do a review anyway.

Bay Cycles... some of the WB is on the tape, which makes it purchasable right there... but the tape is really only like 20 minutes with tons of repeated video and blank space..   It was not as bad as say, the Star Boyz first video... but not so good either. There was a coupla crashes that were interesting, but nothing really off the hook... so, I'm giving it one thumb down.  Truthfully, I'd give it two thumbs down, except that some of the WB are in it - which makes it bearable.

"New York's Finest"... first, let me give props to whoever did the editing -- nice job... anyway I laughed at the disclaimer where they said not to do this at home that all this was done in "controlled environments" by "professional riders"... and then they que into a lane splitting scene.  go figure.   Anyway, the boys have skills... not MAD SKILLZ like the WB... but they got skills... so the video isn't bad.  A lot of good stuff on there.  I give it one thumb up.

The WB Thought U  Knew video... must I comment?  There was NOT a better video to be bought at the show.  I mean, honestly, da  Boyz done good.  Unlike the other videos, I wasn't thinking "ho hum" and fast forwarding through a lot of crap... their wheelies are LONGER, FASTER and HARDER, I mean HIGHER than everyone else's... :-)

If you didn't get a chance to get to the show or you were just a loser and didn't actually BUY the video -- ya gotta get your hands on one.

Shenanigans

For the most part - everyone is a freakin comedian.  But Lil Johnny stole the show... He's a Wheelie Boy In Training and gonna be quite a heart breaker, too.

This will probably be my last update until after Bike Week 01... if ya got comments, email me.... oh, and wish me a happy birthday while you're at it.
